Akagi Reiko: This Time, She'll Make You Laugh in Hawaii.

Unsuccessful enka singer Akagi Reiko (Muroi Shigeru) regains her confidence as a singer after appearing on the NHK Nodo Jiman show. Buoyed by the moderate success of her signature song "Oshidori Namida," Akagi and her manager, Sugai (Bito Isao), travel to Hawaii with their newly hired assistant, Takahashi Satomi (Takeuchi Yuko), to promote their new song and take a leisurely trip. Their work, to be precise, consists of one night singing as an opening act for a women's professional wrestling match. They also head to the beach, shopping, and a resort-like atmosphere...
This comedy, directed by Izutsu Kazuyuki, who directed "Nodo Jiman," released the previous year, depicts the life of Akagi Reiko, the protagonist of that film.
