The world can be changed with love.

Kyoto, 1968. Our protagonist, Matsuyama Kosuke, a second-year student at Higashi Prefectural High School, signs up for a soccer practice match with Chosun High School (Chosun High), a school plagued by constant conflict.

When Kosuke visits Chosun High School for the practice match, he falls in love at first sight with Kyung-ja, who is playing the flute in the music room. Thrilled, Kosuke desperately studies Korean, determined to become closer to Kyung-ja, despite being confused by their difference in nationality.

He then meets Sakazaki at a music store, who tells him that the song Kyung-ja was playing is "Imjin River." He decides to play it himself and buys a guitar at the store.

Kosuke's efforts pay off, and the two fall in love... But there's a big obstacle between them.

Kyung-ja's older brother, Anseong, is actually the leader of Chosun High School...
This explosive coming-of-age story combines heartbreaking love, passionate friendship, and intense, realistic fight scenes, all with a refreshingly moving ending.
Director Kazuyuki Izutsu creates a fast-paced, entertaining masterpiece.
