We Shall Overcome Someday
"Romeo and Juliet" story, staged in Kyoto, 1968. A nice, normal, nonviolent
type high school boy happened to fall in love with "Resident Korean" girl
when she was playing a Korean folk song, "Imjin River," on a flute.
Then he tries to master the song to get close to her. The story concentrates
on his struggle to not only master a song, but win the love of a girl who
seems to live in an alien, hostile world. Enthusiastically supported by young
film goers, Recorded over 6 million USD domestic box office in 2006.
